about

Marlin freestyled this ill-nasty drum beat and put some creepy organ on top of it where he was trying to emulate a melody line from Outkast's "Elevators". I decided that was all that it needed, save for minimal slide guitar fills here and there and some harmonic scrapes to accent the kickdrum - the guitarwork is all Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine's "Zapata's Blood", a rare live track. The lyrics were written in Talum, Mexico while I was staring at Mayan Temples from the beach and trying to figure out how to sum up and start this album off at the same time, create a proper intro if you get my drift.

lyrics

Eat my mother's disease
and pardon my fallout
It makes everyday, a timebomb ticking away

What's the secret to keep...
from rubbin' my mind out?
How do I delay...
a timebomb ticking away?

This here album's dedicated to the alive and willing,
the deceased and still giving.
Marlin and I built this Palace, "A Palace For Alice"
So come on in, bring it in...

Eat your fucking disease
and pull the fright - right out
It makes everyday, a timebomb ticking away

There's your key to believe...
you'll never get soul doubt
How do I delay...
a timebomb ticking away?
