about
The second song on the album that was born from Marlin laying down some drum n' bass groovalisciousness. It sounded like "In The Summertime" by Mungo Jerry at first, then I added guitars and some rasta keys, which by the time I found the break made some Bob Marley lyrics spill outta me off of "Keep On Movin'" one of my all time Bob songs. Add 'em up and you get "Mungo Meets Marley", which goes to show you never know where inspiration will come from.
lyrics
I got an opinion, it says that I'm on my way
I'm coming up in ya, I'm looking to stay all day
Ghostride your passion, stack your rations
Don't call on me I can't even stay, for what you're willing to pay
I got a condition, it's permanent holiday
I'm gettin' my fish-on, and listening what they say
Fancy your fashion, ghetto mansion
It's all about the way you relate, every cat has his day
I got a new vision, groove it all away
"To where I can't be found, Lord they coming after me"
I turn to the ocean, "There she is!"
A stumbling motion, carries my castaway
Forfeit the askin', get ta mashin'
It dawned on me I'm living today, and that you're doing the same
I got a new vision, groove it all away
"To where I can't be found, Lord they gunning after me"
